Online Ordering

Ordering online from The Boat Light Shop is designed to be a straightforward, secure, and enjoyable experience. We value your passion for boating and have tailored our online store to cater to your needs. To facilitate a smooth purchasing process, you may need to create a personal account with us. This account setup ensures a personalized shopping experience, with faster checkout and a convenient way to track and manage your orders.

Payment Methods

We offer a variety of payment options for your convenience, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Paypal, and Amazon Pay. To ensure the security and simplicity of transactions, we do not accept personal checks or money orders. Please note that all transactions must be processed in U.S. Dollars, providing a seamless and efficient financial process for our customers.

Sales Tax

For orders shipped within North Carolina, a state sales tax of 7.25% is applied to the purchase price, excluding shipping charges. This tax is in accordance with state regulations and is automatically calculated at checkout for your convenience.

U.S. Sales Only

At this time, The Boat Light Shop serves only customers within the United States. Our focus on domestic sales ensures that we can provide the best service and shipping options to our US customers. Additionally, we do not ship to mail forwarding services, in order to maintain the integrity and security of our shipments.

Due to market fluctuations and other external factors, the pricing of our products may change without prior notice. We strive to keep our prices competitive and reflective of the market conditions. We recommend checking the latest prices when browsing our products to ensure you have the most up-to-date information.

Confirmation of Orders

To ensure the accuracy and security of your orders, we may occasionally contact you to confirm order details, delivery information, and payment information. This step is crucial for orders that require special attention or verification. If we are unable to confirm these details within 48 hours, we will have to cancel the order. This policy is in place to protect both you and us from potential errors or fraud.

Backorders

For items not currently in stock, we offer the option to backorder. Your credit card will be charged at the time of ordering, securing your item for future delivery. As soon as the product is back in stock, it will be shipped immediately using the shipping method selected at checkout. If at any point you decide to cancel your backorder, simply contact us, and we will issue a refund to your account and cancel the backorder, ensuring a hassle-free shopping experience.


Shipping & Delivery

FREE GROUND SHIPPING AVAILABLE - on purchases over $199.

Free UPS Ground shipping is available for all orders over $199 to anywhere in the continental United States. This offer does not extend to Hawaii, Alaska, and the U.S. Territories, as they are excluded from this shipping promotion. Additionally, certain heavy, bulky, and/or oversized items might not qualify for free shipping, due to their special handling requirements.

We do not ship internationally.

Our shipping services are currently limited to the United States only. We do not offer international shipping at this time, and this also extends to mail forwarding services. For international customers interested in our products, we recommend finding a local distributor or a third-party shipping service within the U.S.

Orders usually ship on the same day

We pride ourselves on our quick shipping times. Your purchase is guaranteed to ship on the same day if the order is placed before our daily carrier pickup time. Orders received after this cutoff time, or those placed outside our regular business hours, will be shipped the next business day, ensuring minimal delay in getting your products to you.

Expedited Shipping

For those needing their items quickly, we offer several expedited shipping options, including Next Day, 2nd Day, and 3rd Day shipping. We strive to ship these expedited orders on the same day they're placed, assuming the order is made before our daily shipping cutoff time. Please note that expedited shipping fees are non-refundable in case of returns.

Multiple products in the same order

When ordering multiple items from The Boat Light Shop, please note that they may be shipped separately and potentially arrive on different days. This is due to varying availability and shipping requirements of the products. We ensure each item is packed and shipped securely, regardless of whether they are shipped together or separately.

Insurance for Shipments

We encourage customers to consider opting for shipping insurance, especially for high-value orders. While our complimentary Ground shipping is reliable, it does not include insurance and does not require a signature upon delivery. If you wish to add insurance to your order, please contact us immediately after placing it. Keep in mind that insurance requests cannot be accommodated once your order has started its transit. Insurance adds an extra layer of protection against loss or damage during shipping.

Damaged Goods or Lost Shipments

In the unfortunate event of receiving a damaged package, it should be refused at the time of delivery. We advise our customers to thoroughly inspect their purchase upon arrival. To file a claim for damaged or missing items, please contact us within two business days of receipt. In cases of lost or damaged orders during shipping, get in touch with us immediately using the contact details provided at the bottom of this page. We are committed to resolving such issues promptly and satisfactorily.

Liability for Delivered Packages

Once a package is delivered and confirmed at the address provided by the customer, our company's liability for the package ends. We are not responsible for any loss or damage to packages that have been correctly delivered. The recipient assumes responsibility for the security and integrity of the package upon delivery. We recommend choosing a secure delivery location or adding shipping insurance for added peace of mind.


Returns & Replacements

30 Day Return Policy

We offer a 30-day return policy for your peace of mind. You can return most items within 30 days of your purchase invoice date. We will process your return or exchange promptly, make any necessary adjustments, and/or credit your account accordingly. Please note that this policy does not apply to consumable items such as chargers and batteries. After the initial 30 days, the manufacturers' warranty will be in effect for any product issues.

Please allow 10 to 14 days for us to process your return. Returned merchandise may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 15%.

You are responsible for all shipping costs for returns and exchanges

When returning or exchanging items, please ensure that you insure the package and ship it via a traceable method. We cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged packages. Note that explosive or hazardous materials cannot be shipped via U.S. Postal Service or any air shipping method.

Product Condition

To be eligible for a return or exchange, all items must be in new condition, unregistered, and returned in their original packaging. This includes all packing materials, blank warranty cards, manuals, and all accessories. Items not meeting these criteria may not qualify for return or exchange.

Returns, exchanges, and/or defective items must be postmarked within 30 days of RMA assignment

Once an RMA has been issued, you have a 30-day window to return the product to our warehouse. It's important that the product is postmarked within this timeframe. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of the RMA, and a return or refund will no longer be possible for the item.

No Shipping Refunds

Please be aware that we do not refund the original shipping fees or the shipping costs for returning the item. These costs are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend carefully reviewing your order before purchase to avoid the need for returns.
